If anyone ever mentioned gyms to me in the past I'd have a hot flush just thinking about it. Having to admit you're overweight, and then be shown around a gym full of toned bodies, both male and female, had really put me off – until now.

Thanks to Debbie Dodwell, Fitness Manager at Style and Tone, I'm now enthusiastic about the whole idea of exercising. Admittedly each session at the new Rednal fitness centre is for just 30 minutes, but that's a lot better than none at all – which is really what I was doing before, except for walking my dog.
